 Specialty Installations consists of a group of highly-skilled, network design and support technicians, experienced in assisting companies with the implementation of advanced technology.

Tom Booth

 Tom Booth is President of Specialty Installations Ltd. and has almost 20 years of technical experience.  His expertise includes the planning and implementation of all types and sizes of network systems. Tom sits on several steering committees for large clients, assisting in the deployment of advanced technology to both large and small clients.   He has deployed systems utilizing Netware, Windows NT, UNIX and wide-area networking.  As well, he has designed and implemented projects ranging from single-user desktops to corporate-wide management solutions. He specializes in LANDesk’s network management products and has implemented solutions for large corporations such as, MCI, SHL Systemhouse Inc., Gulf Canada and Canadian Standards Association. In addition, Tom has successfully deployed LANDesk for Rogers Communications, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Sobeys, Lafarge Canada, and the Government of Newfoundland.  Tom also sits as a charter member on the LANDesk Advisory Board.

Tom is Canada’s only Certified LANDesk Trainer and currently divides his time between Specialty Installations’ offices in Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto.

 Richard Elhard

  Richard Elhard is General Manager of Specialty Installations Ltd. and a partner in the corporation.  As general manager of Specialty Installations Ltd., Richard deals with all details of project management. Richard has been successfully active in this area since 1972.  He brings with him a background of network-related installations from as far back as 1965.

 Richard, through Specialty Installations Ltd.’s sister company, R&T Network Solutions, is certified to deliver industry standard solutions for Digital, Compaq, Panduit, Hubbel, and Intel, among others.  R&T Network Solutions is a leader in single and multi-node fiber optic technology in western Canada.

  Dan Chostner, BSc

 Dan is a graduate of the University of Alberta and handles LANDesk deployments, troubleshooting, and support.  He has an in-depth knowledge of PC operating systems and hardware compatibility, as well as network design and structure. In addition to being a LANDesk deployment SE, Dan is also an Intel Certified Integration Specialist and a Sonicwall Certified Security Administrator.

 Jason George, BSc.EE, M.I.T.

 Jason George is a graduate of the University of Alberta and has been our resident trouble-shooter for the last 6 years.   He was a design intern with Northern Telecom Multimedia Communications Systems, and specializes in system design and de-bugging.  Jason has also completed his training as a certified Intel ANR, and as a LANDesk deployment SE.  Jason’s skills include an in-depth knowledge of operating systems and networking technologies and protocols, which include Unix, Netware, Windows NT, Ethernet, ISDN and TCP/IP.

 Peter Lee

 Peter is a recent graduate of the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology’s Computer Network Administration program.  He is CompTIA A+ and HP Desktop/Notebook certified.  Peter has twelve years of management experience and his excellent customer service skills will be well utilized servicing a wide range of IT requirements.
